GOLDEN is situated in the Canadian Rockies and it’s a town known for vacation seekers. The lovely town is easily accessible on the route of the cross-Canada highway. Rondo Motel is located in the downtown area of Golden surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Standing in a room or on the deck of the motel, you have the breathtaking mountain scenery all in your plain sight.

Rondo Motel underwent a major renovation between 2019 and 2020, and a significant investment was made to upgrade the parking lot and the exterior walls of the motel. Major work has also been done to upgrade the furnishing of the guest rooms. These motel rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. Free Wifi, a hot water kettle, a fridge, a flat screen TV, tea and coffee are also provided to each of the guest rooms. There’s a free vending machine at the motel which provides soft drinks to our guests 24/7.

During the winter, our guests are also provided with free access to sauna rooms and a hot tub. Some of our guest rooms contain a suite which provides some separate space for kids who come with their parents. Some of our guest rooms contain a kitchenette which helps our guests prepare food as they wish.

The motel is 500 meters away from a super market where you can find all your necessities for your trip. A library, a laundry mat, a movie theatre and restaurants are also within walking distance from Rondo Motel. There’s a world famous ski resort near Golden. It attracts many ski lovers from all over the world to the area every year. You can also enjoy outdoor sports in the area such as rafting, hiking and golfing or go on a wildlife tour in the vicinity.

In 2021, Canada’s highest suspension bridge Skybridge is open to the public in Golden. While perching 140 meters above, you have a thrilling ride across an expansive canyon and a crashing river with 200-foot waterfall thunders below. That’s double the height of the Capilano suspension bridge. It’s like walking on a bridge as high as a 40-story building with an epic and untamed 360-degree view of the Rocky Mountains.

Golden Rondo Motel is only 45 minutes away from Lake Louise, 90 minutes driving distance from Banff, and 25 minutes away from YOHO National Park. You’ll also have easy access to the other 6 national parks in the area. Golden Golf & Country Club is 2 kilometers way from our motel. Kicking Horse Mountain Ski Resort is 12 kilometers way Glacier National Park is only 50 kilometers away.
